So, I've installed Dos Box, and I'm running Ascendancy. Every time I click anywhere (left or right button doesn't matter) i get a "DING"-sound, like ding.wav from windows (not sure if it is actually that sound, i've turned off all warning sounds in windows). This makes it unbearable to play, and I've tried every possible search combination and read a lot of posts and I can't find anything like this anywhere. So, any hints on what's causing this?

Mouse: USB
System: Win XP Pro
Soundboard: Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
CPU: 2,4 Ghz Intel
Mem: 512mb
DosBox: 0.63

Do everything else sound OK or is it just DOSBox?

Have you configured sound properties for Ascendancy?

Erm, that's just Ascendancy. It plays that "ding" on every click. Guess you never played it before, did you? 😉 If it annoys you, your only option is to turn off sound effects altogether.
