Although this is about DOSBox-X I'm not sure whether the problem is only related to DOSBox-X so I'm posting here.

I am running Windows 3.1 for Workgroups in DOSBox-X and am trying to install Lotus Improv. The installation program requires the use of a floppy drive. I have a USB drive attached as A:\. When I boot in to Win 3.1 and click on the A: drive in File Manager I get a message to the effect that the A: drive does not exist.

The drive and its contents are visible in WIndows 11 so I am confused as to why it is not showing up in Windows 3.1. Any advice would be welcome 😀

I added 'mount A A:\ -t floppy' to my dosbox-x.conf. Trying to open a:\ in WIndows 3.1 gives 'Drive A does not exist'.

Since my USB drive seems somewhat unreliable I am considering using VFD, creating a 'virtual' floppy drive. Do you this might work? And will I need to use the MOUNT command?

Thanks
