How do I change from 24bpp to 16bpp or 32 bpp?

When I open DOSBOX it tells me "you are running in 24bpp mode, this will slow things down!"

Does someone know how to change to 16 or 32?

Assuming you're running Windows: right-click on your desktop, choose "properties" to bring up the display properties, choose the "settings" tab and select the bit depth in "color quality".
