Press Ctrl + F11 until the stuttering stops. I play at around 2000-4000 cycles on my 1ghz laptop (compared to around 12000 cycles on my stationary computer)...

...looking at your specs, it seems that you should run at around 200-400 cycles, but that is perhaps too slow to keep up with the sound, on the other hand.

My recommendations would be to buy a new computer, perhaps one that isn't 10 years old, and try on that one instead. Or simply uninstall XP and install DOS on the one you got. Seems silly to emulate DOS on a machine that's from the DOS era, if you ask me. 😀

- Your computer is too slow to run protected mode games or 486/pentium class games.

There is a good tip to speed up DOSBox.

Your system looks a bit like my old laptop. Try these recommendations, but DON'T EXPECT TOO MUCH:

Many non-action games are playable on such a setup. But forget 3d shooters.
