I don't have an account for the forums here, sorry.

My computer (A Dell Inspiron 5160):

1. I don't know the motherboard
2. 3.4 GHz Pentium 4
3. Windows XP

The game giving me trouble is Duke Nukem 3D.

When I start the game, about .25 seconds into the the display of the nuclear symbol at the introduction, the game freezes, and the Dos window for DosBox suddently prints out

"Illegal Write to c" and then some string of digits and characters. This message repeats ad infinitum.

If I go into the Duke 3D setup and disable the sound/music, the problem persists, so I'm pretty sure thats not the cause. Other games, Terminal Velocity, DOOM, etc seem to be working just fine.

Any advie would be greatly appreciated : )

PS I'm a bit new to DosBox, but I searched the forum for this problem, and couldn't find anything
