My computer is currently set up on a LAN with other computers (at college). Is there a way with DOSBox to trick a game into thinking that that connection is actually a serial port connection (i.e. on COM1, COM2, etc.)? Second question, does anyone know what NetBIOS is? On the game Syndicate: American Revolt, it says it supports 2-8 players using "NetBIOS." Can DOSBox work with that?

Thanx,
Buzz

PS - I can post specifics about my computer as the newbie-guide requests, but I didn't feel it related to this problem.

I've seen some COM->TCP programs on the net but I don't have any links handy.

DosBox can already to Modem->TCP and IPX->TCP...don't think it does COM tho.

DosBox only emulates IPX/SPX with no NETBIOS support so if your going to want to use NETBIOS then you'll have to do it on your host or under VPC/Vmware/Qemu/Bochs.

Well duh, but does it do

DosBox Host Com->Host TCP->Internet->Client TCP->Host Com->DosBox Guest?

Without Modem, basically Direct serial connect.
