Concerning the "bug" in Frogger. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I rememeber that Frogger had the bug you describe on my... PC ! Yes, it was buggy, even on a real system... So this may not be a bug, but just a sign that DosBox is "itself" a new brand of PC !

But it worked 100% OK on a genuine IBM-PC...which is presumably what DOSBox is trying to emulate, rather than a 99% "IBM-compatible".

I see DOSBox 0.63 has been released. Neither the Bricks bug nor the Frogger bug have been fixed. Not quite sure why these new versions with known bugs are being released, what is the point? Is it a waste of users' time to report these bugs, since there is no interest in fixing them?

No, but there is a priority on bug fixes....and there was a thread dedicated to fixing bugs in the 0.63 CVS before 0.63 was to be released. Not sure if your request was in there or not.

Re-read the whole thread and have a look at how many people
tried to help you out, the only thing YOU do is insulting
them that they are too stupid to fix "your" bug.

Why don't YOU fix it? Dosbox is open source, so you can
contribute something instead of just requesting it.

As you can see from the version numbering of dosbox, it has
not yet reached that level of compatibility, because of
various reasons.

It DOES work, just remapped it so tab can be used.
Works fine, 100% playable.

I don't recall insulting anyone...!?

Will try the keymapper again under 0.63.

OK, it can be played using the keymapper. I'd still suggest sending a bug report to the SDL team though, since I'm sure there are many other SDL apps affected by the bug.

Thanks for the tip.

Found an unpatched version of Frogger. Still has the background graphics problem though. So the patching is not the problem.

machine=cga fixes the palette problem (i.e. always using CGA default palette, not the others) in Alley Cat. However, this should work on VGA as well (it does on real hardware).
