The color there was a bit different, and I think it looked much better.
About the 48*48 / 64*64, I'm an idiot. I didn't save the icon larger so it's going to be hard making it in higher resolution. Simply resize is not an option, windows can do it itself... I'm going to keep trying.

As for the exact colour....its a bit hard for me to find the exact shade again because I did a 5 seconds "colourize" and for some reason I just could not pin point the shades I used.... 😅 I'll try again later!

I like the font in the 128 best. Probably no way to do that and have it readable in the lower resolutions?
I like the whole Chaosfish icons, my only problem with the whole lot is that it reminded me on first glance at the XBox because of the big X in the background. But that is really a minor problem and I really have no say whatsoever in the whole icons thing 😀
heh. What I thought of when seeing it for the first time was a crate instead of a box....although a crate is a box sorta. Considering that crates are pretty much hated in all PC games (much like DOS nowadays) and that crates have been around for forever in PC games it seems to fit.....

An idea that I think would be cool (but hard to do on a small icon) would be to make an icon that looks like an original IBM PC monitor ( http://www.craigslist.org/sfc/sys/90885519.html ) with a big C> prompt on the screen.

I simply can't get that direct shade.... 😖 Very wierd....should have written down those numbers...
Can you copy-n-paste it into MS Paint and use the dropper tool to get the color you're looking for?
Not the method I used....I'm using the gimp to shade the whole pic with one swoop....and for some reason I can't get it to look right. 🙁 I get close...but no cigar.

Well here are more sizes with that Futura font. I'm not entirely sure it's better than the previous font...
And I still think avatar's testidea3.png is the best one so far, I wish you'd manage to make it into the 128*128 empty box so we could work with it more 😀
