Trying to run Tango 2.3 a printed circuit layout program in DOSBOX. It requires a security key on LPT1. Cannot print to LPT1 from within DOSBOX.
copy lptest LPT1: gives an error as does copy lptest COM1: NOTEBOOK can copy lptest to lpt1. lptest is a text file in my dosbox folder.

I bought a parallel out card (for a check printer) which is working fine and have defined LPT1 as my default printer for this test. Been too many years the only command I could think of was the copy cmd. Do I need to "register" lpt1 within dosbox? Would there be something in a config/autoexe file. My grey cells are remembering buff= files= but not much else

Been using this program for 20+ years and they want over 5K for the current version on Win. If no help here is there a different "dosbox" program you know of that might work?
