Hello,

I was looking at this thread Vertical retrace sync patch about a possible way to implement vsync. The thread contains a download link to a .diff file but I have no idea how to use it.

A diff is applied to source code, meaning you'd have to download the DOSBox source and compile it yourself.

This is probably much more trouble than it is worth if you have never compiled anything from source before, especially in Windows.

First, if you post about Dosbox, use the dosbox part of this forum.
As for this patch, when you read the thread you see that it is not perfect. ALSO this patch is very old, you can safely bet on it that the patch no longer applies to the current Dosbox sources.
If you add this to Jorpho's reply you can safely assumes it is much more hassle than gain...
