My Linux almost never freezes, however when I used Prince of Persia (the old one from the beginning of the 90th) I wasn't able to steer the animated character (the prince) and my Linux system didn't response anymore. There was no other way than to reboot. This never happened before. Perhaps this may be a Kernel issue. I used Dosbox 0.6 under Suse 8.2/KDE

i don't think thats a dosbox problem. I also have try SuSE 8.2 for a while and the system crashs sometimes (normaly under heavy cpu-load. for example if i compile wine or other bigger projects)
it also crashes @ seti@home. I use a other distribution now and my system never freezes. (over a half year)
