I am the maintainer of the DOSBox debian package. From time to time I get bug reports from users of the Debian package that are not related to the packaging but to DOSBox issues. A list of open bugs for the package can be found at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi? … d=no&src=dosbox.

Would you like me to post each of these bugs as a separate forum item or is it better to just add a post to this topic if some new DOSBox issue pops up in the Debian bug tracking system?

Best regards,
Jan Dittberner

if you feel that the problem is really a dosbox problem, then feel free to post them in this topic.
however don't be surprised that most issues can be blamed on libsdl or a window manager.

you are right, most are SDL or desktop environment/window manager issues. There are some bugs that seem worth investigating though:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=511067 this is a documentation issue regarding serial port configuration

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=722292 a bug related to CD emulation

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=724559 a bug related to screensaver in fullscreen dosbox mode

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=675248 patch related to joystick deadzone support (maybe you already have this in SVN because the patch comes from the forum).

If there are already patches for these issues in SVN I would very much appreciate if you could point me to the right commits so that I may pick them for Debian.
