I'm trying to solve the files= problems.

Herefore I need a list of applications/games that have problems with it.

I've tried The Legacy of Micropose. But it works fine.
Does anybody know more ? (preferable freeware and small, but any will do)

Hello everyone

@ Xerxes
The problems started only after you installed the patch or did you have them with the original CD installation? I have installed Interplay's aniversary version of StoneKeep and I am playing it now (unpatched) and I didn't have any problems. I 've made a profile for D-Fend. Here Is the conf:

@Mortal Yes, problems started after applying patch 1.2. I got original CD from 94 (game ver 1.05 i believe), not anniversary edit.

ps. 1.05 is working fine

@ Xerxes

I am sorry but I haven't found anything yet. I am still playing the 1.05 version of the game (The last time I played it was about 3-4 years ago). If I find anything, I 'll post a message.

Why?

Sorry if I repeat myself, but you can run Stonekeep v1.2 in DOSBox :
sk.bat can be run with a WIN95 parameter, I guess it initializes in
a special mode that does not check for the FILES parameter value.
Just get into the game installation directory, make sure you have
mounted the proper cd drive containing stonkeep disc and enter in the
command prompt:
sk win95
This should do the trick.
If not, post and I will try to help if I can.

I was having problems with errors about FILES=30 when running tie fighter.

After putting in some debug info, it became obvious that the problem was that my HD copy of tie fighter was actually missing some files; it's just that the program was reporting the error as "make sure you have FILES=30 set" instead of saying "missing file xxx".

Once I reinstalled it correctly it worked OK.

So maybe all of these problems are simply badly installed programs?

Neverlock, which I used to crack Innocent but Gulity 1 works fine in DOSBox. Since that's how I was able to use it. 🤣.
