I'm running Lubuntu 15.04 and I'm trying to compile ykhwong's Dosbox build from source on his website -

http://ykhwong.x-y.net/

but it wont compile for some reason - I get these errors

Makefile:376: recipe for target 'dos_mscdex.o' failed
make[3]: *** [dos_mscdex.o] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory '/Downloads/dosboxdownload/ykhwongsource10jan2016/src/dos'
Makefile:471: recipe for target 'all-recursive' failed
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory 'Downloads/dosboxdownload/ykhwongsource10jan2016/src'
Makefile:369: recipe for target 'all-recursive' failed
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/Downloads/dosboxdownload/ykhwongsource10jan2016'
Makefile:309: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2

I tried the already built version on his site and got this error -

./dosbox: error while loading shared libraries: libtbb.so.2: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

I installed libtbb but that error persists

any help?

I gave up,

went and grabbed DosBox-X which compiled just fine.

Ykhwong abandoned, sad but true.

Can someone recommend a good unofficial build as a replacement? Preferably with xBRZ support as well?

I see there is a DOSBox-X fork but I don't see a feature list for that anywhere.

Nihilism makes me smile.

Have you tried the DOSBoxWP build by emendelson? Both download links and feature list are available in the thread below:

A build (and source) of SVN+WengierLFN+MegabuildParallel etc.

Please read his post more clearly. He already said he knew there is a DOSBox-X fork but don't see a feature list for that anywhere. I have no idea what you are trying to say.

He asked for good unofficial build and I don't see anything better around.
I'm using it and it seems heavily based on ykhwong's one (aka same features), however u can always ask further infos to thegreatcodeholio 😜

Actually more the other way around. There is a lot that ykhwong took from DOSBox-X
