as anyone who uses the talking version of dosbox will know, tiler spivy's virtual bns uses e speak. While It's a decent synth, it's nowhere the SSI263 chip on a real bns.
So, I thought it would be cool if db could emulate popular hardware speech synthesyzers, such as the artic 215, echo pc, etc.
I think the easiest ones to emulate would be the ones based on existing chips, for example the votrax based votalker or the echo pc which is based on ti ms5210, rather than klat based synths such as dectalk.
would anyone be interested in this?
