When I download the current snapshot from SourceForge, and build the "trunk" code, it identifies itself as DOSBox SVN.

The wiki says that this link downloads the current source directly:

http://source.dosbox.com/dosboxsvn.tgz

And it certainly does seem to be the current source, but when I build it, it identifies itself as DOSBox CVS.

Are the codebases otherwise identical?

Yes. There is a rename instruction in my script.

Thank you! That means that the script I posted in another thread will work as it should when downloading. (I thought this was the case, but I wanted to be absolutely certain.)

Question for Qbix: If this isn't OK with you, I won't do it, but I'd like to add an optional command to the OS X build script I posted in another thread, a command that use uses sed to change the version string in configure.ac from "CVS" to "SVN". The point of this is that almost everyone recognizes what DOSBox SVN means, and (if I understand things correctly) it's been a very long time since the days of DOSBox CVS.

Again, if this is not OK for any reason at all, I won't do it.
