On the latest CVS's it looks like the joystick is not being initialized.
If you look at the console window it does not say anything about my
Microsoft Sidewinder USB gamepad being initialized. It doesn't output
anything and it used to output the device and how many buttons were active.

My gamepad no longer works in any game.
