Here's a crazy idea: since DOSBox is an emulator, can't it "dump" the DOS it's got loaded at a certain moment into a file and restore it later? This would make for some kind of "universal saving" even in games that don't have any kind of saving, at any moment. Which would definitely rock, but then again maybe it's just a crazed idea with no way of working.

The theory sounds right... assuming you don't mess with any files the program's working with. It shouldn't take much more memory than the available system memory in the emulator (and perhaps less with compression). Anyway.. I'm not a developer on this project, but I know enough to know your thought isn't out of line, and it sounds cool 😀
