is it possible?
I want to install from the CD (rather than copying to the disk image which I know works).

I tried this:
[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
mount d h:\ -t cdrom -ioctl
imgmount c "70mb.img" -size 512,63,16,142 -t hdd -fs fat
boot -l C

However on boot-up of dos the driver I have (called cd1.sys) doesn't find anything. Do I need a special driver or should I just be patient and wait 😊

This has nothing to do with Windows, but with booting.

As far as I know there is no way to get to a CD ROM when booting alternative DOS.
You can run Windows in normal DOSBOX shell (CD ROM is available there).
