I have tried to install MechWarrior2 on Dosbox for OS/2. It crashes while installing.
I then tested the installation on Linux. There I have no problems installing MW2. (I know there are issues with cdrom recognition when running that game.)
The DOSBOX debugger gives me the last command with "7: EXEC:Parsing command line: DOS4GW.EXE SETSOUND".
Since that works, I guess there should be no problem with DOS4GW itself.
Can anybody give me some hints where to look for the cause?

Bye Jochen

PS: What would be the process for integration of another port into main Dosbox?

uhm the 7 in front of the commandline indicates that very little cpu cycles have been used. (7 is the cpu cycles used counter) So you can not conclude that dos4gw works as it is then started instead of finished.

To get your code in the official tree:
- It all depends on the amount of os/2 specific changes.

1.) Ok, the 7 is all wrong, because system overwrote the rest of the cpu count, when faulting.
2.) The changes are not big, a few lines here and a few lines there, plus one bugfix (you probably won't call that a bug, but I do 😉) plus direct serial and cdrom ioctl support. I have given up on MPU401 for now, because OS/2 multimedia is a Microsoft legacy and ... I don't want to curse here.
