emptybox5.zip contains the latest empty box version in PSD (photoshop) format. With layers and all.

dosboxicon5.zip contains each icon in each size, AND, an "all in one" icon which contains all the sizes (this one is ready to be used on the program itself).

That little 16x16 icon would look great on the system tray :)

And here's an alternative All In One icon to use.
This one only uses 256 colors, so it's:
1. more compatible with all machines (also looks better on older machines)
2. takes up less space (now it's only 12.7 kb)

So, you should ignore the previous "AllInOne.ico" and use this one, because the change is 100% unnoticeable to the naked eye.

Hmm sorry to double post but,
I noticed Mac uses 128x128 icons as thumbnails. And maybe Vista too.
Do you think there should be a 128x128 icon anyway?

And here are the icons in ICO (windows) and ICNS (mac) formats.
I suppose there isn't a special icon format for Linux? (please correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm done for now. Qbix, I'll be waiting for your comments to make any further improvement. And please let me know your thoughts anyway :)

The font is a great improvement.
I was wondering if if you could made the brown border a bit smaller so that the X and B don't thouch the grey X

Linux at my place uses png at least for some icons

Okay, improvements:

* The big X is thinner. I couldn't make the border thiner without significantly degrading the quality, so this was the only way to make the X and the B a little farer from the big X. You can notice in the 128x128 image that the X still touches the big X a little, but that's unpreventable (talking after trying all possibilities without editing the actual font of the text).

* The shadow of the letters goes the other way.

This might very well be the last and final update! (up to Qbix)

* A little "outer glow" aroung the big X, making the icon more vivid
* Box in all sizes less than 128x128 look even better (16x16 one left unchanged tho)
