i just installed simcity 2000.
its loads up but is sorta choppy on the sound and motion of the mouse.
in simcity 2000 install setup i setup super VGA mode and sound blaster compatible mode. ive also tryed sb16 settings but sound is still choppy.
I am using dosbox 0.70. is there anything in the config file that i can change.

1. CPU cycles. Turn it up if it's at 3000 or lower. If it says 'auto', change the default cycles in the dosbox.conf from 'auto' to 3000. Then tweak as necessary in-game.
2. Make sure the sound setting match the settings in the dosbox.conf.
3. If the 2 above don't help, change the renderer in the dosbox.conf to something other than surface, like opengl or one of the others.

Load up DOSBox and type at the DOSBox Z:\> prompt:

core dynamic

cycles max

Also, try the different renderers as suggested.

Try cycles=30000 or so instead of max.

1+1=10
