Attempting to run the command prompt (or Quickbasic) in a Window in Windows 3.1, in Dosbox, fails with a garbled screen. Eventually it crashes the emulator.

Why is this needed?
Basically to increase the size and readability of text based Dos apps. Especially with 50 rows.
In order to use TrueType fonts for text based Dos Apps (like Quickbasic), you need something to Emulate the text. Windows 3.1 has an emulated text mode, like all the versions after. But Windows XP runs QB code very slowly and doesn't scale the graphics display. The same can be said of Windows 98 in VMware. Dosbox is much faster and will scale the graphics display. But, you lose the emulated text and TrueType fonts in the Editor. Making the 50 row mode (qbx /h) unusable.

So anyone got this working or no why it breaks?

Thanks...
