Seems like the game is complaining about EMS... Hmm, how about editing that DOSBOX.CONF file of yours and setting ems=false? Does that do the trick?

In the meanwhile, you can try typing "ems false", then starting the game.

If you don't wanna type that every time you start the game, you have to
check which dosbox.conf is loaded (usually the one in the installation directory
of dosbox, where dosbox.exe resides as well) and change the (already present!)
entry ems=true to ems=false.
