I'm able to launch the game but a few minutes later the game would crash and the message "DOS/4GW Fatal error" would appear.

Could it be that I have chosen the wrong sound blaster config?

Just use ScummVM

Or check the sb configuration against what is set in your dosbox.conf

After I've tried to turn off the EMS, the game seem to crash less but it still does crash from time to time

Did you install it within dosbox? If not, do that.
Else try with sound disabled, and with core=normal.
