So I got the CD-ROM version of Jurassic Park off eBay. I made a BIN/CUE image of it and got it mounted in DOSBox. I also mounted a directory for the C drive. Then I ran the game's installer, but it doesn't list any drives to select, and I can't edit the path name either. I've got a screenshot of the problem.

Thinking this was a DOSBox issue, I tried to install the game using the original CD on my Pentium II. Same problem. I just need it to create a configuration file; otherwise, it runs entirely off the CD.

What's with this weird installer?

THAT'S IT!
"That's it! *bwaak*"
Thanks to this fix, I can run the game now. Hold on to your butts! Given that the NES, SNES, and Game Boy games are getting reissued soon...

Huh, there's a CD version of this game?

I got a floppy version of Jurassic Park for DOS in early 1990s as a gift when I was a kid. Completed the game some months ago, it was quite fun to finally beat it, but I did need to check the walkthrough and maps at some point. Still too hard for me without 😀

What does the CD-ROM version have over the floppy one? Are there some cinematics or something? 😀

There's redbook audio at least. Not the actual film score IIRC
