Hello I recently got Ultima 8 to run via DosBox on my machine Os X 10.4.11

I thought everything was perfect. But it turns out i can't jump. And I cannot for the life of me figure out why not. This should be possible by pressing both mouse buttons at once. Ultima/DosBox does recognize each mouse button separately but I can't jump anywhere... Is there a problem picking up simultaneous mouse input. Anyone know a work around?

Please any help vastly appreciated.

I'm now going to try older versions of DosBox. I'm desperate

Hmmmm. Maybe its my mighty mouse? I'm not sure it supports simultaneous clicks. It there a way to setup a keyboard override?

Remapping the mouse is currently not possible.

Try pressing the mouse buttons shortly after each other, like pressing the
right mouse button and then the left button after a short bit, or the other
way round.

Maybe you find some old mouse test program for dos to see if pressing both
mouse buttons is recognized at all.

It does appear to be a problem with the Apple Mighty Mouse. I can connect my Logitech trackball that I use on my PC and can jump OK with it but not the Mighty Mouse.

Mighty Mouse contains only a single button inside with a touch sensor in the top of the mouse that uses conduction to determine if a left or right click is being made, so it's physically impossible to press both buttons at once. http://arstechnica.com/articles/paedia/hardware/dissect.ars
