Hey folks, it's me again... if you remember me anyway 😀

Cronologia by Cascada is a demo. It works fine, but the second part magically skips on DOSBox.
I've got DOSBox 0.72 in Windows XP SP2.
It actually works best with a fixed clock cycle around 5600 and 'simple' CPU mode. With higher clocks (or max) the demo will speed up crazy 😁
Remeber to press Esc to skip parts quickly.
You will notice that, after the second 'decrunching' intermission screen, a part is automatically skipped.

My own system and config: Asus P5 KSE mobo, 2 gb ddr2 RAM, 2.66 ghz core2duo CPU, eVGA nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX for graphics, rendering is to 'surface' in DOSBox conf, Realtek onboard sound and I use 'soundblaster' for the demo.

I've attached a copy to this post. You can also get it from scene.org.

Right, skips the 3rd part of the demo for whatever reason.

So is there something that can be done about this?
I'm sure that if this is fixed or at least looked into, it can improve DOSBox's overall compatibility with old dosware.

Yeh you can try to debug it.

Hmm, I tried debugging it and here's something funny I found:
If you pause (alt+pause) to the debugger right before part3 and do F5 to resume it doesn't skip part3.
Otherwise, it's kind of luck... 2 of 10 times it doesn't skip it.
Racing condition?

Well maybe timer/sound related, you could try playing around with
the cycles and core settings a bit, but doubt that actually helps.
