CDROM / MSCDEX Error

...well, the program i am trying to run...doesn't require a cdrom/floppy drive in the first place. [i don't even have a floppy drive] I am running it off my computer. The program runs fine by itself - but with no sound.

I am trying to run Secret of Monkey Island 1.

I mounted Drive D anyways, and install MSCDEX...and it still gave me the error.

How do you install mscdex? How does your mounting look like?

I just did the command listed in the FAQ

mount d d:/ ....and then it said MSCDEX installed...so then i closed out, and i dragged the game.exe onto dosbos.exe and it laoded then gave me the error.

you need to do it in the same session. So no closing and then dragging
