I'm trying to run the "Brief" editor in DOSBox 0.72 on Linux. It works, but the text cursor is invisible. Interestingly, there is a slight hint in the setup program that certain TSR programs might cause the cursor not to appear.
Any hints how I could diagnose this problem further?
Is some demo/shareware version of this program available?
Does it exhibit the same flaw?
It might be related to video pages. In the setup: Main Menu > Display > Video Page Test, try setting the first option to "No" (DO you see the cursor moving in the box?) This option corresponds to the "p" switch in the BFLAGS environment variable.
OT: I always thought the name of the developer, UnderWare, was funny given the name of their product.
