I'm trying to make Mechwarrior 2 running smoothly on my laptop. I ended up here on these forums in a search for help.

Reading through the posting guide I realized I haven't read the readme to dosbox yet. I also realize why:

Where is the readme file for dosbox?

I use Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron, I looked my home folder. There is nothing there but dosbox's config file. Not even an install library or similar. Just the config file. I tried to run dosbox and type 'readme' but since the screen said I could find the readme in the install folder, I gather nothing good will come of typing 'readme' in dosbox.
