I'm trying to get my Hyper 3dPinball to work but I'm having
problems. I use to have it installed before I had to get my hard drive replaced but I can't get it to work now.
I followed all the tutorials and do everything it says but I get a message saying no cd drives present when I'm finished.
I even installed an older version of DosBox that the website said works with Hyper 3dPinball but it still doesn't work.
Can anyone help with this????

Tested.
mount d j:\ -t cdrom (j is my real cd-drive)
d:
install
Installed w/o errors, DOS4GW error (divide by zero) in the first run.
Looks like sound auto-detection is broken.
Setsound.bat, GUS + MPU401 are set.
3dpinbal.exe - no errors, game run smoothly... 800x600, cd music etc...

Dosbox settings used - svga_s3, overlay, aspect=true, gus=true, io240 dma3 irq5.

Asus P4P800 SE/Pentium4 3.2E/2 Gb DDR400B,
Radeon HD3850 Agp (Sapphire), Catalyst 14.4 (XpProSp3).
Voodoo2 12 MB SLI, Win2k drivers 1.02.00 (XpProSp3).

I'd like to add that after editing the CONFIG file the game starts to load but then
I get a COULD NOT INSTALL UNIVBE" message.
The game works the first time I install it but when I close the game down and
try to play again that above message comes up

I guess every time I want to play this game I'll just reconfigure DOSBOX again and reinstall the game. I looked for my UNIVBE problem in a search engine but I saw nothing that helped.
I even deleted the file out of the game directory but I still got this message.

Someone told me to try the D-Fend-Reloaded program.
I don't know what I did to get the game to run now but after installing
that program and guessing on what to do the game now works!!!!
HURRAY!!!!!

I guess you need to use the same mounting commands as given at the first installation time.

D-Fend Rel. was *one* answer to this problem,
using a specialized configuration file another. 😀
