Exactly the same VESA issue i had testing Riddle of Master Lu two days ago. Someone (don't remember who) found a fix for this and maybe it will be put in the next CVS release. Just be patient.

Just wait until Dosbox 0.61 is released. The attached file is only useful for you if you know how to compile Dosbox.

Oddly enough, i downloaded a cvs version by some guy on this same forum which, it seems it's compiled bearing AMD processors in mind, and it runs a LOT faster on my AMD Athlon XP 1800+ than rjpa's cvs builds. Besides, Riddle of Master Lu is playable now.

Unfortunately in that build Privateer doesn't work... but it's faster in other games
