i have a soundmax integrated digital audio and war diary says i need sound blaster. what do i do to fix this?!
Ps. i am a noob so i dont know much about dosbox yet, please be specific in your replies.

DOSBox emulates a Sound Blaster Pro card (among other things), so you don't have to worry about the real physical sound hardware you have installed. Just select Adlib, Roland MT32/LAPC, Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster Pro or Gravis Ultrasound from the game sound config screen. Maybe some card won't work while others will. You'll have to experiment a little.

It's possible the game expects the Soundblaster at a specific address/port and using a specific IRQ or DMA. See if the game's manual says anything about that. You can adjust the DOSbox emulation settings in the dosbox.conf file, below the [sblaster] header.
