Fished my SimCity 200 SE Cd out of storage today, and installed it on dosbox (0.74 vanilla). Every thing works, but when exiting sc2000 it get's to the "Thanx for Playing SimCity screen", just before it drops you into dos, and hangs.

Tested the Floppy Disk version and it works.

Any Ideas why?

tested it with and without Sound enabled in the install program (Simcity's . install that is)

and my autoexec looks like this:

mount c ./c
imgmount d "i:\Isos\Win\games\SC2000\SC2K_SE_WIN.cue" -t iso
c:
cd sc2000
sc2000

Try different loadfix allocations. Even "loadfix -f" that frees a few default memory blocks seems to be enough to avoid the hang on exit.

Sorrry to dig up this old message thread, but I too ran into this exact same problem.

Another workaround that I discovered (other than using the "LOADFIX" command) is the SC2K command line parameter "NO_MEM_CHK". Either "SC2K.EXE NO_MEM_CHK" or "SC2000.BAT NO_MEM_CHK" will work just fine 😀
