Program seems to be working perfectly, but when I click inside the game window, the mouse focus actually switches to that window, but the game cursor remains stuck on the left edge of the window.

Also tried ctrl-f10, got the same result

OS is WinXP, mouse is an optical usb microsoft intellimouse

I think your problem is the usb mouse... those usb mice out there are somehow bugged... try updating the usb mouse driver to the latest version, if it still doesn't work, get yourself a ps2 mouse and give it a try. i hope you find your way on this trouble
