Hi ,
I use a file-based database. And 4 People works with this Database. But the Problem is that thef files in the Dosbox doesnt get Locked. When i use the Database in a normal Dos commandline at a 32Bit PC it works. But when i Use the Database in a Dosbox Commandline i can Work but the File Lock doesnt work. Has anyone an Idea what i can do?

It is a nice tool for games. If you're going to try to use it to run your business, then you are putting your business at risk.

You should try vDOS.

I wonder if vDOS has solved the real problems that DOSBox has that make it unsuitable for business usage like data protection, real file sharing, missing FPU exceptions, limited FPU accuracy and various others. I doubt that it does..

On the other hand, if FPU accuracy is a concern, one could disable the FPU entirely and probably not even notice it when working with a database application – or so I would think.
