Lately all pc of my company were upgraded to win7 64 bits, yet a legacy DOS program will be executed to encrypt files and send them by ftp, I tried to use dosbox as it cant be run win7 64bit ...

i tried :

1. run xp version of ftp.exe in dosbox and "this program cannot be run in dos mode" was displayed

2. run other command line ftp ( like mFTP) and some can run in dosbox. Then i rename the client to ftp.exe and run the dos program in dosbox ... and it was failed because the ftp command was not the same as native windows ftp.exe

How can i run previous version of windows ftp in dosbox ? Thanks in advance.

You can't since DOSBox is for Dos games, not Windows applications.

Use a VM with a 32bit Windows OS...

Wouldn't it be easier to not encrypt the file and send via SFTP instead?

Thanks alot too, the ftp was executed inside the dos application.... Yet , I found that DosBox was a great application !!!
