Typing "setup" to run the file results in the error message "Illegal command: xxsetup
Type 'DOOM' to run DOOM from the CD-ROM."

Install it first. You are attempting to configure the "run from CD" version.

Mount a folder as C: and your optical drive with the CD in as D:. Change to D: and run the install.
