Anyone get this game to work..

I am running Windows XP - have Nvidia Geforce 6800 and 2.5 GHZ processor.

I get it to run the intro and then it just gives me a black screen and no longer runs..

Let me know if anyone has succesfully run this game- thanks!

Tried w/ nosound=true and still after the intro screen goes to black and nothing further.

Anything I can press to skip the intro and just go into playing?

Really want to get this to work so I dont have to set up a win98 partition 😜

When I press the right mouse button it skips the intro.

This conf file you're using looks slightly odd, are you using DosBOX 0.63 or 0.65?

You can get my conf file from the website on the link (only change I used was cycles = auto), that conf file worked great with my copy of Hell.

Also, what sound did you choose *in* the game itself? (not dosbox.conf)

Yeah just upgraded to 65

When I right click the intro it just stops and goes no further.

How do I set the sound in game and what should it be set to?

I tried your conf file and still no go...

How did you install hell?

Did you install from dosbox commands or do it through windows- hitting install then running through dosbox?

When I tried to install through dosbox and not windows it would not even do that..

I installed and played Hell completely through DosBOX with no problems (it takes a while to install though).

Just typed Hellinst.exe and it went smoothly.

If you installed through windows it may be searching for your CDROM drive or installation path.

Also, instead of using the CDROM try making an image of the CD (I didn't even try to play it from the CD itself).

When I tried to install Hell through dosbox it stayed at the first file and then nothing.

Also we might have different versions of hell? My install file is install.exe and not hellinst.exe.

When I go home I will make a ISO of the cd and then try to install from dosbox.

Thanks.

You got me on that one, my video is a tad off too, but I figured it's because I don't have enough CPU power...

try playing with cycles...
