Yea, you can map any realport anywhere.

0.65 has at least one serious bug in the serial port - try a CVS build. If your hardware has some simple RS485/RS232 adapter chances are low since it needs proper timing.

Thx Hal.
I'll try it later.
So i should type
.. ..
serial2=directserial directport=COM1

i will try the 0.65 version but if it dosent work how do i download a cvs build. Do i have to compile it? Any guids here? Which CVS do u recommend?

How about cycles i am using a laptop Intel M techn. 1,4Ghz
core=dynamic????
cycles=3000????

anything more i have to configure?

Wait for the next dosbox release, and post here again if it still doesn't work.

Ivan, do a seach for CVS, and you should fine a sticky thread with all the info you need. But as wd said, better wait for the upcoming release of a new DOSBox. I don't remember the timeframe, but it should be soon.

Edit: The CVS thread - DOSBox SVN Builds

Hi, i have tried out once again the dosbox with the interface. I am getting irq_int10 something in the background window. What does that mean?

Ivan, the "with the interface" part sounds like you have downloaded ykhwong's (???) DOSBox. He has made many changes to the standard DOSBox, so you should ask him about the irq_int10 thing.

I think that is some of my experimental stuff. Use a clean CVS.
The irq_int10 doesn't mean anything bad though.

Hal, i used your version on your website. The latest one for seriall.
Do u have any suggestions on what cycles i have to use and which core setting?

As i wrote above: I use an seriell interface that needs to run under win95/98 or DOS with MAX clock of 233 mHZ i have an Intel P M 1,4Ghz.

anny other suggestion on what i can try. I am getting the irq_int10 thing but the program still says that it can't find any cable communication.

You can try my build with ocbus.
Re: Direct serial port working
(try with and without the ocbus word)

Those OBD protocols may need very exact timing though which cannot be provided by DOSBox and the serial port driver.
