Hey, I am trying to play Monkey Island with a Xbox 360 for PC controller. Dosbox doesn't recognize it.
Anybody know if this is even possible to play Monkey Island with a gamepad?
And if so with a Xbox 360 USB controller?

If your Operating System (I guess Windows) recognizes the gamepad then Dosbox does so as well. BUT only because Dosbox sees there is a gamepad, doesn't mean you can play with one in every game you play through Dosbox. The games must support a joystick otherwise there is no chance to play them with one.
Thanks for the reply and there's my answer: Monkey island doesn't support a gamepad, just a mouse. Using winXP SP2 by the way.
Maybe someone will write a patch or something...
thanks
No. The game just cannot be played as you want.

There's a program for Windows called Joy2Key. It sends keyboard and mouse commands to Windows if the joystick (In my case a Nyko Airflow) does something mapped to the keys.
It works for Windows applications for the most part, and I just tried it with DOSBOX successfully.
