I want to type:
cd\games\quarantine\q.exe
But it doesn't work. I hate to sound like a total retard, but somebody please tell me what to do to open this file.
It sounds like you're not very familiar with DOS. I would suggest reading some tutorials on DOSBox or even DOS in general:

Err, I hate to mention this, but isn't quarantine a biiit longer than 8 letters?

Why can't I run 'cd quarantine'?
Use a name for your directory that is shorter than 8 letters
or
Run 'dir' then use whatever the result is, probably 'quaran~1'

Well it's not just that, but also that he's trying to change directory AND run the program in one command... The long filename part hadn't occured to me because I stopped after finding the first problem 🤣
