I have loaded DOSbox on a PCLinuxOS-based machine as a class project. I am able to create the live CD and even run DOSbox from the live CD. My problem comes from the application I need, Norton Disk Edit, is unable to access the physical floppy drive. I can mount the floppy in Linux (mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy) and then create the a:\
in DOSbox (mount a /mnt/floppy -t floppy). After changing to the a:\, I am able to execute the "dir" command in DOSbox and view the files, but Disk Edit will not see the a:\ as either a logical or physical drive.

I would like to be able to use Disk Edit to view the physical a:\

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I saw how to mount the diskette images, but how do I actually create the image file?
