did you run blood.exe in dosbox or dos4gw.exe?

I used dos4gw

so is problem fixed? if not then use blood.exe to play the game and setup.exe to setup the sound and resoloution etc.

Well I recently downloaded a frontend for it and It wont work either.

Does it display the message above when running blood.exe??
Must be a corrupt installation then.

make sure you setup the sound etc. before playing.... run setup.exe when in dosbox to set the sound.

Well I just fixed the problem by telling it the sound card is "none"
because my sound cards irq is freeking 19 and blood only goes high as 15
so I could play it but I only can listen to music as I play.

huh? If your using XP then you use XP's emulated SB @ IRQ 5 or VDMSounds @ IRQ 7.

try irq 5 and/or 1rq 7 for soundblaster 16 (a330 mpu-401 for music)

if it doesnt work post back...

The sound card I have is a soundblaster live 24 bit will that work?

DOS games in XP don't care what kind of sound card you have. For DOS games Windows XP emulates a SoundBlaster card. If you configure your DOS games to use any IRQ other than 5 then they will not work.

and dosbox emulates a soundblaster 16 for dosgames.
