So confused right now. I've followed this guide :60 seconds guide to getting your game to run in DOSBox

I have DOSbox installed and my games file is in a folder called C:\ECO. I followed the guide exactly as it states - it's the 60 second guide to DOSbox. Everything was going fine - mounted the C and D drives, the game is installed onto my computer and I did C:, and then dir
It now says:

Directory of C:\.
. <DIR> 11-05-2006 14:06
.. <DIR> 01-01-1980 00:00
ECO1~1 EXE 498,480 13-03-1995 13:16
1 file(s) 498,480 bytes
2 dir(s) 110,540,880 bytes free

Now I don't know what to do. I typed in ECO1~1 and it says This program requires Microsoft Windows. I am running windows XP. What do I need to do???

Thanks so much for any help!

Em

the file a self-extractor which only works in windows.
Try running the eco1~1.exe file in windows and see what happends.

How to ask questions the smart way!

Well I did just run it - it plays the game, but the images are often all messed up. When I installed it, it also installed WinG and Video for Windows 1.1, but VFW 1.1 doesn't work for Windows NT. Is there any other way to get this program running??
Thanks for the quick reply Qbix 😀
