When I run my application, I get an error message: You need more memory. I use WinXP with 1 GB RAM. In DosBOX config file I set memsize=256. I use DosBox 0.65.
DosBox Status Window:
Maximum memory size is 63 MB

When I use my app in w98 Dos mode or win98 Dos window, it run. I use w98 with 256 MB RAM.

No normal DOS application needs more than 63 MB (and standard DOSBOX does not support more).
It is probable that it is other way round - your application has more memory than its authors expected and it chokes on it.
Try:
a) setting less memory
b) reading README.TXT for DOSBOX (the command LOADFIX is what you want to know more about)

I guess that b) will be what will help you (DOSBOX provides a lot of free DOS memory to applications and it sometimes leads to this problem).
