Hello everyone.
I followed the instructions in the no-cd guide to try and get SQ6 to play without the CD but have had no luck - it keeps telling me it needs certain resources and that it needs a CD rom to be played. I've copied the entire contents of the CD but still cannot get it to work.
is this one of those games that will just have to be played with the disc?

Copy all of the files from the root of the CD to the installed folder except for the Windows executables, the DLLs and icons. Also copy the ROBOTS and MOVIES folders. Edit the SQ6DOS.BAT file to
sierra -o .\resource.cfg
and change all of the paths in the RESOURCE.CFG to
resMap=.\
resAUD=.\
resSFX=.\
patchDir=.\;.\MOVIES
movieDir=.\MOVIES
robot=.\ROBOTS
Launch the game in DOSBox with SQ6DOS.BAT.
