I have the display output set to ddraw using version 0.72. What happens is every scene change, the entire screen is black and it only displays whenever Prince Alexander moves onto scene or if I bring down the menu. Now, the only way to fix it is to minimize the game and bring it back up again. So I'd have to do this each and every time I change scenes. Is there a way to rectify this? I also tried different display output settings in dosbox.conf.

Tried any other output method other than ddraw?

Are you running Win3x in DOSBox to play this? This is what happens when you play the Windows version with more than 256 colors.

Yes, running in Windows 3.1. I cannot play it in DOS as the mouse does not move properly making it impossible to play the game.

Lower your colors to 256.

I thought DOSbox only rendered in true colour. Good to know I can do that.

Then you didn't install it correctly. Follow the guide thead closely.

I changed to 256 colour, exit out of Windows and DOSBox and tried again and it worked. All is well, thanks for the help! 😀
