Ok, to be more specific.
I started KQ7 using DOSBox.
During the intro i got the following error:
Error 99: Error loading resource 1304.wav
..\resttype.cpp(54)
Script 1250/S6a3

Oh you could be WAY more specific, especially regarding what dosbox version
you are using, the OS, how you installed the game etc.

The game can't find some of its resources. We also need to know how you have mounted your drives, installed the game, what you have tried, etc.

I mounted the drive this way:

Z:\MOUNT C C: /
I put the game in a specific folder called OLDgames\KQ7

After that i could open the game using sierra.exe
I'm using Windows Vista.
DOSbox version 0.72

During the intro it just stops running and showing this specific error.

Someone said i should create a blank .wav but that didn't work out.

to ask again: how did you install the game? If your mounts you did during installation and playing the game do not match you can run into such a problem.

This is a CD game. Did you install the game? What is in your RESOURCE.CFG? Did you just copy the files from the CD? BTW, you shouldn't mount the base of your C:/ drive

I assume he installed it using Windows and then tried DOSBox to run it instead of installing it within DOSBox after doing his mounts.

Please mount "Oldgames" as C: and then install the game (within DOSBox) into "Oldgames/Sierra/KQ7", in DOSBox seen as "Sierra/KQ7".
